The UK Garrison inducted Maureen Bulloch as a Friend of The 501st Legion on Return of the Bash, Pergola on the Wharf, Crossrail Place, London. She is wife of the late Jeremy Bulloch.

 

Jeremy Bulloch (The Real Fett) BH 5211 was a member of the 501st UK Garrison. Both Jeremy and his wife Maureen are very close to the hearts of the UKG and they often attended events we were participating in. A nicer couple you couldn’t wish to meet and we were heartbroken to lose Jeremy a couple of years ago. So it gave us great pleasure to be able to induct Maureen as a Friend of the Legion at the 501st Return of the Bash held recently as part of the Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023 event in London over Easter weekend. We wanted Maureen to know how much we appreciated the support she gave Jeremy and that she was still a much loved part of our extended 501st family.

501st UKG CO has written some words about the presentation:

 

“During Celebration, in fact during the bash we had the honour of presenting Maureen Bulloch with a very well deserved Friend of the Legion plaque. I called Maureen to the stage and then I invited Justin in his capacity as LCO to join me so he could bestow this very special honour upon her.

 

Justin made a wonderful speech (without the opportunity of preparation) and true to form Maureen accepted the award graciously as you would expect.

 

She held on to me for some time and really was genuinely thrilled with this surprise.
